Without a doubt, the gift of prophecy is for everyone, not just an elite few.
So, whether you have never prophesied before, or you have been prophesying for years, this clarion call is for YOU!
In Numbers 11:29, Moses gave voice to God’s heart as he replied to Joshua, “Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put his Spirit on them!”
On the day of Pentecost, Peter quoted the book of Joel stating, “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.”
Every believer in Jesus can:

Even though anyone can do it, it is helpful when someone with experience comes alongside you to give guidelines and practical tools for avoiding common pitfalls.
That’s why I created a 12-lesson class called The Prophet: Creating & Sustaining a Life-Giving Prophetic Culture! This systematic teaching series will equip you to walk in this important gift of the Spirit and make sure your foundation in the prophetic is sure.
My personal journey in the prophetic began over 40 years ago during the Jesus People Movement. Along the way, I have been mentored by some of the most recognized prophetic voices in this generation, like seer prophetic papa, Bob Jones. The Lord has seen fit to use prophesies I’ve given to launch entire movements.
I want to pass on the lessons I’ve learned along the way by teaching them to you. Together, we’ll become an End-Time army for the kingdom of God, Prophesying Life Today in the name of Jesus!

Overview of The Prophet 12-session class:
Section One: Prophetic Beginnings
The first part of the class will set your sights high, laying foundations in the history of the prophetic movement and the four levels of prophetic ministry.
Session 1: Where Eagles Dare to Fly
Jesus taught in parables and the Holy Spirit often uses illustrations in order to capture our attention and teach us profound truths. In this opening lesson, we’ll look at the nature of eagles: their keen eyesight, their high flight, the way they capture snakes, and their maturation process which includes molting patterns. Isaiah, the prophet, calls us as believers to rise up with the wings of eagles and dare to fly high! If you are authentically prophetic, you will have a God-given desire to see what others do not and overcome the enemy’s schemes.
Session 2: The History of Prophetic Ministry
In this lesson, you’ll receive an overview of the prophets in Biblical history, including their gift and function to the people of God. We’ll also explore prophetic movements throughout church history. Finally, I’ll give modern examples that reveal generational patterns and show the multiplication of Schools of the Prophets.
Section Two: Prophetic Development
The second part will equip you with practical tools for developing your personal prophetic gift.
Session 4: Receiving and Releasing the Gift of Prophecy
In Section Two, we’ll begin to develop and unpack the prophetic. Gifts are freely given by God’s grace, but it takes knowledge and experience to learn to properly steward the gift. There are a variety of ways that revelation is received and how these “grace-giftlets” are to be released. Who? Where? How? When? This lesson will be filled with practical application. Get ready—it’s about to get fun!
Session 5: Building Blocks: The Anatomy of a Prophetic Word
When considering prophets and prophetic ministry, it has often been taught that there is a three-stage process in handling these inspired ways of God: Revelation, Interpretation and Application. This lesson builds on these three steps and adds six additional wisdom ingredients needed to accurately administer revelatory gifts, including: appropriation, conditions, timing, motivation, contradiction, and properly discerning.
Session 6: The Prophet and the Rejection Syndrome
Prophets tend to have sensitive natures, which can bring with it both power and peril. Sensitivity enables prophets to lean in to receive revelation to which others might not be tuned. But this same sensitivity can at times create a rejection complex where the prophet becomes bitter, angry and reclusive. Prophets need a healthy environment that includes community, so they can avoid becoming isolated—ones who speak at the church or nation instead of with or to the person, city and generation. This lesson is a life-saver!
Section Three: Prophetic Diversity
The third part will expose you to diverse modes of prophetic communication.
Session 7: Seven Models of Prophetic Communication
In Section Three, we’ll celebrate diversity call forth a no-competition zone! This lesson presents seven distinct biblical models of prophetic communication: 1) Prophetic Oracle, 2) Prophetic Exhortation, 3) Prophetic Prayer 4) Prophetic Song, 5) Personal Prophecy, 6) Prophetic Vision, and 7) Prophetic Action.
Session 8: Women in the Prophetic
Building on the previous lessons, we’ll dive into the wonderful and sometimes controversial subject of Women in the Prophetic. Using Scripture along with Jewish and Church history, we’ll navigate past excesses and falsely imposed limitations, opening up a broad place where men can become coaches and cheerleaders for women to be all that they are called to be in Christ Jesus. This includes the gift, ministry and office of a prophet. I’ll share personal stories from my life and present quality role models in this area to whom we can look today.
Session 9: The Prophetic and the Seven Spheres of Society
Sadly, in history past when there was a revival of the creative arts, or Renaissance, the church would drive these creative and prophetically gifted people out. “Not welcomed here” was often the message sent to the prophets. Today we know that the church is to be equipped as “sent ones” into all the earth. We’ll look with fresh perspective at the seven Spirits of God and the Seven Cultural Mountains of Influence and call forth a vision where gifts, ministries, and offices of the Spirit thrive in the church and make societal impact for Jesus Christ’s sake.
Section Four: Prophetic Commissioning
Finally, you’ll be commissioned through practical wisdom from the trenches (including raw and real “do’s and don’t’s” of prophetic ministry).
Session 12: A Look into the Future: A Vision of the Bride of Christ
You have been created to have a personal relationship with God. You have a distinct destiny to fulfill. You are uniquely called to declare life to broken people and structures of society. In this final lesson, you’ll receive practical steps on how to seize your prophetic destiny for the sake of your own life, family, city and for an entire generation. It is time for a loving mature prophetic community to grow up into all things in Christ Jesus and to arise and take their place in history. It is time to become prophetic builders and not just a “bless me club!” Together, we will press on to the upward call in Christ Jesus!
